Description
Georgian style silver mustard pot with blue glass liner and spoon, hallmarked in London in 1968.
These silver salt and mustard pots are usually gilded inside the bowls or fitted with blue glass liners. It is always recommended that the little spoons are not left in the salt or mustard. Once the silver has become damaged, they would need to be cleaned professionally.
Made by H H Plante and interestingly, the makers have stamped their address on the base, 12 Bury St, St James’s SW.
This has a very good weight and is in excellent condition.
There is a matching solid silver salt listed separately.
